German stock markets close higher; The DAX rises 0.76%

The German Stock Market closed with gains this Tuesday; Gains in the media, technology, and transportation and logistics sectors drove the indices higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 0.76%, hitting a new all-time high, while the MDAX index gained 0.78% and the TecDAX gained 0.86%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG), rising 2.72% or 13.80 points to close at 521.00. Followed by Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn), which gained 2.08% or 0.56 points to close at 27.52 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:BAYGN), which rose 1.77% or 0. 48 points, until ending the session in 27.32.

At the bottom of the index was Qiagen NV (ETR:QIA), which fell 1.99% or 0.80 points to close at 39.08. Symrise AG Inh. IN. (ETR:SY1G) fell 1.67% or 1.88 points to close at 110.47 and Covestro AG (ETR:1COV) was down 1.48% or 0.75 points until late at 49.91.

The best stocks on the MDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG), which rose 6.76% to 43.60, CTS Eventim AG (ETR:EVDG), which rose 5.08% to 77.50, and Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA), which gained 4.13%. to close at 31:76.

The worst performers of the session were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC), which fell 4.53% to 141.05 at the end of the session, Gerresheimer AG (ETR:GXIG), which lost 3.85%, closing the session at 100.00, and Fuchs Petrolub AG VZO Pref (ETR:FPE3_p), which fell 1.30% to 45.52 at the close.

The top performer on the TecDAX was Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG), which rose 6.76% to 43.60; CompuGroup Medical AG ON (ETR:COP1n) which rose 3.94% to close at 27.94 and Evotec AG ON (ETR:EVTG) which gained 2.15% to close at 13.77.

At the bottom of the index was Qiagen NV (ETR:QIA), which fell 1.99% to 39.08 at the end of the session. (ETR:EUZG), which lost 1.01% to close at 37.40, and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn), which fell 0.74% to 25.51 at the close.

Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 407 to 218 and 27 ended unchanged.

The DAX Volatility Index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, rose 1.78% to 12.03.

Gold futures for April delivery rose 0.05% or 1.05 to $2,177.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities, Crude oil futures for delivery in May rose 0.13% or 0.11 to hit $82.06 a barrel, while Brent oil futures for delivery in June fell 0.13% or 0.11. 0.10%, 0.09, up to $85.99 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% at 1.08, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.01% at 0.86.

US dollar index futures rose 0.04% to 103.97.
